Gunnarsson has been regular in Iceland’s strongman scene for several years, winning the Iceland’s Strongest Man title in 2013. This year he’s hoping he can make a big impact on the world stage and add his name to the long list of successful Icelandic strongmen.
Gunnarsson previously swam for Iceland’s national swimming team and still works as a lifeguard today. He’s living proof that strongmen can still be agile and fast.
His main advice for those wanting to compete in strongman is simple: give equal priority to training, eating and resting.
