Konstantine Janashia, pro-strongman and gym owner, is making his 4th appearance at the 2019 Tachi Palace World’s Strongest Man. He hopes to beat his 4th place title from 2016 this year. His nickname “Georgian Bull” was given to him because he has “the biggest traps in the planet.” This 28 year old stands 6’5” and weighs 375lbs. Janashia is the first Georgian athlete to ever reach the WSM Final.
This year, it is very important for him to avoid Lad Man Standing to get rest and recover for the final. His goal is to do his best.
In 2015 and 2016, Konstantine trained at Skiba’s Gym in Carteret, New Jersey and was given the nickname “Georgian Bull” by the gym’s owner, Henri Skiba. While deadlifting, Skiba would scream “here comes the Georgian Bull” before every big lift. Konstantine worked 15-hour days and lived in small back-room apartment. He spent his time working and training every single day, according to Skiba.
Konstantine has two notable tattoos:
1. Georgian Bull on chest
2. “World’s Strongest Man” logo on shoulder
