What is your Day Job: I am doing strongman full time but we (as in my family) are developing a property portfolio so this takes up a lot of my time away from the gym.

How did you prepare for Malta 2009 event?

My prep was hard this year as my beautiful daughter was born in May so helping look after her and sleepless nights didn’t give me the best prep in the world, but I still managed to train hard and fit in 6 workouts a week. I have to thank my girlfriend for supporting me. Without her I wouldn’t be able to put so much focus and time into my training. I did a mix of strength training and event training.

What was your highlight of this year’s 2009 event? Making the final with 2 events to spare and winning the squat for the 2nd time in a row.

How do you rate this year’s line up of competitors? I would have to say it was the strongest line up ever at WSM.

What was your best event? In the heats the squat in the final the farmers walk.

What was your worst event? The stones in the heats and final.

Did anything funny happen to you whilst competing in this year’s event? My reaction after winning the squat was funny. I will be embarrassed watching that when it’s on TV lol.

If you could do it again would you change anything? This year I did everything I was hoping for at WSM but I have a lot of changes and hard work ahead of me for 2010.

Any plans on developing areas or techniques for 2010 WSM? I have been working with my coach and we have a lot of changes. The way I've been training over the last few months since WSM is very different to how most strongmen train but we won’t know how successful it is until next year. I’m confidant I will bring my best overall package to WSM 2010.

One fact only a true fan would know about you? I was born on Christmas day in 1982
